Alvaro Morata Completes £65 Million Deal With Chelsea
Real Madrid forward Alvaro Murata has completed a five-year contract with the England side Chelsea on Friday.
The Spain international contract is a record signing of £65 million contract and would join the team ahead of commencement of the season after completing his medical.
According to statement credited to Chelsea's technical director Michael Emenalo, the club is delighted at completing the deal with the Spaniard.
"We are delighted to complete Alvaro's signing and welcome him to the club. He has proven class at the highest level and his quality will be a huge asset to Antonio and the squad," he said.
Before the 24-year-old completed his signing with Chelsea, he was scouted by Manchester United's José Mourinho but later swapped for former Everton's forward Romelu Lukaku.
