American rap icon Eminem and a political party in New Zealand, have found themselves at loggerhead, not over politics but over music.
Eminem and music publishers have filed a lawsuit against the political party for copyright infringement over his hit track "Lose Yourself".
According to sources, the political party - New Zealand Conservative National Party - was alleged of using a soundtrack that sound very close to the Detroit rapper's "Lose Yourself" in their campaign for 2014 election in the country.
The political has however, denied any foreknowledge of the song to have been copied from Eminem's original but pointed out that it was purchased from an Australian-based supplier.
Nonetheless, the rapper and his publishing outfit are going ahead with a lawsuit against the party which they have since filed against the political party since 2014.
