Bafta TV Awards 2017: Sarah Lancashire Wins Lead Actress As "Happy Valley" and "Damilola, Our Loved Boy" Make Most of Drama


The prestigious awards event of the 2017 British Academy Television Awards ceremony was held at the Royal Albert Hall, in London and was hosted by Sue Perkins.
The annual ceremony, saw artistes, presenters and TV programmes rewarded for their year long work.

Sarah Lancashire won lead actress award
Sarah Lancashire in the BBC1 "Happy Valley" won the lead actress awards, as the same TV series won the Drama series of the year and Adeel Akhtar won the lead actor award for BBC3 drama series "Murdered By My Father".
Also in the winning list is Wunmi Mosaku for the the supporting actress of the award for the BBC1 drama Damilola, Our Loved Boy and Tom Hollander won supporting actor of the year award for the BBC1 drama "The Night Manager".
