Australian Open: Jannik Sinner Wins Title For Second Successive Time
Jannik Sinner has emerged as the Australian Open champion for the second time in a row after he defeated Alexander Zverev in straight sets, 6-3 7-6(7-4) 6-3 in the final.
Besides Jannik becoming the first Italian player to defend the Australian Open title back-ti-back, he is also the first to be from the country and win three Grand Slam titles - Australian Open 2024, US Open 2024, and Australian Open 2025.

"I'm very proud. It's actually tough to describe. Many, many things happen off the court, what you maybe don't know," said the two-time champion in the postmatch interview.
Presently, Jannik is battling a doping allegation from March last year and will be facing an Arbitrary Court for Sport sometime in April after a decision that cleared him of the allegations was appealed against.
However, until today, the nearest Zverev has come to winning a major Grand Slam was at the US Open in 2020 and last year at Roland Garros. Yet, he holds the best match wins ratio (106-in-141) for a player who has never won a Grand Slam,
