Disney Buys Over 20th Century Fox For $52 Billion
Walt Disney Company reportedly has bought over 20th Century Fox media company, after completing a $52.4 billion worth of stock deal with the company own by the Rupert Murdoch family.
The closure of the deal means Disney takes full control of 20th Century Fox media operations except Fox News Channel, the Fox broadcast network and his newspapers.
Effectively, including the debt to be incurred, the whole transaction is valued at $66 billion, which translates into giving Fox shareholders 25% stake in Disney equity while the Murdoch family own 5% of the stake involved.
Disney now has right to ownership of Fox franchise which includes Deadpool, The X-men, Fantastic Four, Alien, Predator, Avatar, Kingsman, Planet of Apes, The Simpsons, The X Flies and many others.
