Kylian Mbappe Officially Completes Transfer To Real Madrid, What Does Transfer Hold For The Striker?

Kylian Mbappe is officially a Real Madrid player as the five-year contract has been completed and the player will reportedly move in to the club starting from July 1 when the transfer window commences.

As reported previously, the deal is massive regarding the fee plus some benefits attached in clauses despite taking a pay-cut compared to what he earned at Paris Saint-Germain. Since he will be leaving the Ligue 1 side as a free agent upon his contract expiration on June 30, it is nothing less than worth it for a player such as him.

However, what does the future hold for the Frenchman and the 2018 Fifa World Cup winner in La Liga? If there is none for him to thing about it will be the Champions League. Being his first experience in the Spanish La Liga, besides the highly prized league title, Copa del Rey is another.

When Real president Florentino Perez was asked about his club's next plan for the European competition next season after they won the Champions League, he responded that they "want the 16th" trophy.

"I think that we are already focused on the next one," Florentino replied when asked. "We want the 16th [Champions League trophy]."

He could not have said that well enough. Of course, signing Mbappe was already in the making and the striker is a terrific goal scorer with pace on his side.

In terms of the team, there were speculations that Rodrygo might choose to leave the club in the transfer window potentially to join Manchester City but the Brazilian shoved that off as untrue with him.

"I don't know anything about it and i'm not interested," said Rodrygo. "Even if there are proposals, I have no idea about that...I'm staying. I'm happy here. How can I leave Real Madrid?!"

As it is, the frontline of the club remains in tact and that is not to mention that Luka Modric is set to extend his contract with the club. Thus with the inclusion of the Frenchman, Florentino's expectation is not impossible and that means huge for Mbappe who has not won the trophy before.
