Fernerbahce Appoint New Manager, Jose Mourinho

Former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho is the newly appointed Fernerbahce boss and was unveiled before crowd of fans at Ulker Stadium on Sunday.

Mourinho has been out of job since he was sacked at AS Roma in January, and while speaking of his signing to the club, the Portuguese said the club's "dreams are now my dreams."

That might be true with the 61-year-old as he is well-decorated in terms of winning trophies in Europe - his last trophy was the UEFA Conference Cup with AS Roma in his debut season.

"He is one of the best coaches of world history," said club chairman Ali Koc on the 61-year-old appointment. "I'm sure he'll be the winner coach here, as he had been in other clubs in the past."

Koc's stance on Mourinho may not be far from right as the club's new boss had won trophies in top-flight European leagues he once worked and that includes the Premier League and Spanish La Liga.
